Manchester United are monitoring the situation of Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic, reports Corriere dello Sport.
The report states United are among a group of top clubs, which includes Paris Saint-Germain and Bayern Munich, who are keen on the forward.
Vlahovic cost Juventus £66.6 million in January 2021. Their own financial problems could force them to cash in on the striker after just 12 months, or next summer.
BBC Sport reported how Juventus’ entire board resigned amid an investigation into the club’s finances.
Vlahovic is arguably Juventus’ top asset, due to the combination of his quality and age, making his resale value high.

Manchester United on alert for Dusan Vlahovic
Vlahovic, 22, is a player who United scouted late in 2021, The Mail reported. However, the club’s decision not to sign any players this past January, took the club out of the running.
This was despite Vlahovic being one of the players interim boss Ralf Rangnick wanted to sign, ESPN reported, only for his calls to fall on deaf ears.
Now it is possible United could get a second chance, with the club still in dire need of signing a striker, with Cristiano Ronaldo and Edinson Cavani both since released, with no replacement.
United are said to be serious about Vlahovic, report Corriere dello Sport, and could move if there is any encouragement from Juventus that they are ready to cash in.
Vlahovic’s former sporting director at Partizan Belgrade, Ivica Iliev told Mirror Football: “I always watch him and think [he’s like] Erling Haaland from Borussia Dortmund, maybe now in this moment Haaland is stronger physically but believe me, technically, Vlahovic is the better player.
“He can play like a second striker; you have more options with him than with Haaland and these two players will be head-to-head until the end of their careers.”
Vlahovic has almost 60 career goals in Serie A, including six in 10 matches this past season.
He scored one goal in two appearances at the World Cup for Serbia, and has 10 goals in 19 international games.
Vlahovic fits United’s need more than other options
Dusan Vlahovic could be a better fit for Manchester United’s needs up front than other options touted for a switch.
Neither Cody Gakpo and Joao Felix are traditional strikers, while Goncalo Ramos is likely to be over-priced by Benfica in January.
Juventus could be forced to cash in on Vlahovic, who fills the need of a traditional centre-forward and would give United a very different option in attack.
Erik ten Hag’s Ajax sides made a ‘proper striker’ a feature of their play, and the manager’s United rebuild is not nearly complete until he lands one. At 22, Vlahovic could be a long-term solution.
