Manchester United are in the market for a new midfielder this summer and could look to raid Turkish side Galatasaray.
Ruben Amorim is embarking on a crucial transfer window as Manchester United seek major reinforcements.
One signing has already been completed, with Matheus Cunha finalising his move to United from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Cunha will play as a number 10 under Amorim and it is hoped that more attacking additions will follow this summer.
Another midfielder is surely on Amorim’s wish list, especially as Christian Eriksen has departed Old Trafford at the end of his contract.
Reports suggest United want a midfielder on loan this summer, though finding somebody who can improve Amorim’s squad and can be signed on loan will be tricky.

Manchester United interested in Galatasaray’s Gabriel Sara
Turkish news outlet Fotomac now offer an intriguing update, claiming that United are interested in signing Galatasaray’s Gabriel Sara.
It’s added that Italian giants Inter are also keen on Sara, who only joined Galatasaray from Norwich City last summer.
Galatasaray paid €18million (£15.5million) for Sara a year ago, and now want around €30million (£25.5million) for his services.
Galatasaray want a £10million profit on Sara just a year after signing him, with the midfielder shining in Türkiye last season.
Those claims suggest that Galatasaray are unlikely to be interested in loaning Sara to United, even with a permanent deal in place for 2026.
Sara was a sensation for Norwich, notching 21 goals and 17 assists in 96 games for the Canaries.
The Brazilian continued his ascent last season, bagging nine assists in 31 games for Galatasaray.
Hailed as an ‘outstanding’ player by former Norwich boss David Wagner, as quoted by PinkUn, Sara is going from strength to strength.
The 25-year-old may not be a huge name just yet, but he is an ascending player who seems to just get better and better – exactly the kind of player United need.
Manchester United could sign Gabriel Sara after Manchester City interest
Sara’s previous success in English football may appeal to United, and there has been rival interest elsewhere.
Foot Mercato reported in April that Manchester City had added Sara to their wish list for the summer.
Pep Guardiola has been looking to bolster his midfield options and Sara’s displays for Galatasaray sparked City’s interest.
City have since signed Tijjani Reijnders from AC Milan, suggesting that they may no longer be in the race to sign Sara.
United appear to be focusing on attacking additions for now, but Sara is a name to watch as the transfer window progresses in the coming weeks.
