Gabriel Moscardo appears to be moving out of Manchester United’s reach with the Premier League-linked midfielder agreeing personal terms ahead of a potential £22 million move to Paris Saint-Germain.

The January window could bring about an exodus of the most talented young players currently plying their trade in Brazil. An exodus beginning with Endrick Felipe de Sousa.

Endrick finally had his unveiling at Real Madrid this week. Vitor Roque is likely to be going head-to-head with him over the coming years in La Liga, bound for Barcelona.

Marcos Leonardo, the Manchester United linked striker, will leave Santos after the club who gave us Pele and Neymar were relegated for the first time in over a century. PSG, meanwhile, appear to be closing in on a £40 million double-deal to bring in Lucas Beraldo from Sao Paulo and Gabriel Moscardo from Corinthians.

Manchester United target heading to PSG

According to ESPN, United, Arsenal, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are among those who have tested the waters for Moscardo, a player Chelsea bid for over the summer without much luck. PSG appear to have one foot past the finish line, however, after reaching an agreement on personal terms with Moscardo’s camp.

“Understand PSG are set to meet with Corinthians again this week to discuss the Gabriel Moscardo deal,” Fabrizio Romano writes on X.

“Paris Saint-Germain agreed personal terms with Moscardo. (They are) now working to finalise deal with Corinthians.

The fee remains in the region of 25 million euros. More to follow.”

‘May he be happy’

Augusto Melo, Corinthians’ new president, indicated a fortnight ago that Moscardo would only leave for a fee in excess of £34 million. PSG, however, look likely to agree a deal for much less than that. Melo seemingly accepting defeat in his attempts to keep the highly-rated 18-year-old playmaker at the Neo Quimica Arena.

“He is a boy who recently graduated (from the reserves) and has very little time in the professional field. I wish he stayed much longer,” Melo tells Globo Esporte.

“But, unfortunately, a cycle has arrived. His head is already elsewhere. We gave him all the freedom to choose. May he be happy.”
