Manchester United have reportedly enquired about the availability of Kylian Mbappe, with the French forward set to depart Paris Saint Germain this summer.
Naturally, a host of Europe’s top clubs are vying for the Frenchman’s signature this summer.
According to Duncan Castles, United, alongside Tottenham and Chelsea, have made an enquiry for the French forward. However, Saudi Arabian side Al Hilal have made a £259 million offer for the 24-year-old’s services according to Fabrizio Romano.
Swap deals mooted
As well as the top Premier League sides, Inter Milan and Barcelona have also enquired about the availability of the 24-year-old.
The Frenchman has been linked with Real Madrid for the best part of two years but a host of top European sides have made an enquiry.
The Telegraph have gone a step further and said the sides that have enquired about Mbappe have mooted potential cash-plus player swaps and United are one of the teams that have mooted that possibility.

Who could United offer?
If the rumours are true then United could offer some of their players in exchange for the French forward. Anthony Martial could potentially be one name that United could offer plus cash for one of the world’s best players. But that won’t get much off the price.
Another option that United could feasibly offer is Jadon Sancho. The English forward has had a tough time since his reported £73 million, according to Sky Sports, move from Borussia Dortmund.
MORE UNITED STORIES
Despite his inconsistency since moving to Old Trafford, the English winger would certainly demand a substantial fee if PSG, for example, were to come in and offer him a way out of his struggles in Manchester. How much United would theoretically offer to the French giants remains to be seen.
With Al Ahli offering £259 million for Mbappe, United may well struggle to enter the negotiating table but with Jadon Sancho and Anthony Martial potentially available for transfer and also Mason Greenwood, United may have a few options in the eventuality they want to enter the race for the French superstar.
