Manchester United have joined Chelsea in race to sign Barcelona forward Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to Gerard Romero.
The 33-year-old only joined the Catalan giants from Arsenal on the final day of the January transfer window, but it looks like his time at the Nou Camp could be coming to an end already.
With Xavi and Joan Laporta undertaking a major rebuild with Blaugrana, the Gabonese forward has been linked with a move back to the Premier League.
While Thomas Tuchel has been linked with a move for the pacey forward who he managed at Borussia Dortmund, the Red Devils are also seemingly interested in Barcelona’s number 17.

Aubmaeyang, who was stripped of the Arsenal captaincy by Mikel Arteta, scored 13 goals from 23 games upon his arrival to Spain last season.
But with Barcelona splashing the cash on the likes of Robert Lewandowski and Raphinha this summer, Aubameyang came off the bench with eight minutes remaining in Barcelona’s opening game of the season.
With Ansu Fati and Ousmane Dembele also ahead of him in the pecking order, the former Arsenal marksman looks to be heading for the exit door.
Capable of playing up front or from the left, Aubameyang would bolster Erik ten Hag‘s forward options, but his disciplinary issues with the Gunners could well worry the former Ajax manager.

With Manchester United not being able to land Ten Hag’s priority forward target so far this summer – Antony, a move for a 33-year-old Aubameyang doesn’t exactly represent planning for the future.
It screams knee-jerk panic mode more than anything.
Aubameyang did score 68 Premier League goals during his time in north London and alongside Sadio Mane and Mohamed Salah was crowned the top-flight’s joint golden boot winner for the 2018-19 campaign where he netted 22 times.
But unlike moves for the likes of Antony and Benjamin Sesko, Aubameyang is a short-term move who probably wouldn’t be at the club for anything longer than two years.
Given his outstanding record when playing under Tuchel (79 goals and 17 assists from 95 games), it wouldn’t be a surprise to see Aubameyang move to Stamford Bridge and reunite with the former Paris Saint Germain manager if he does decide to return to England.
