Manchester United have started talks to offload goalkeeper Dean Henderson to Crystal Palace before the transfer deadline.

We had David De Gea’s future and his eventual departure, then Andre Onana’s move from Inter Milan.
Tom Heaton has attracted interest whilst Matej Kovar found himself as a wanted man before joining Bayer Leverkusen.
Then there is Dean Henderson, who was widely expected to return to Nottingham Forest after spending last season on loan there.
No deal was done though and Forest have instead signed Arsenal goalkeeper Matt Turner, throwing a Henderson move into doubt.

A new suitor has emerged for Henderson though with Crystal Palace now understood to be very keen.
The Sun reported this weekend that Palace would be making a move to land Henderson.
The Daily Mail now add that United are indeed in talks with Palace over a deal for Henderson.

It’s unclear whether this would be a loan or a permanent move but Palace are now looking to sign the 26-year-old.
United would surely love a cash deal for Henderson in order to fund other business, and there may even be hopes that this becomes a bidding war if Forest come back in.

Palace are looking to sign Henderson due to a stand-off with goalkeeper Vicente Guaita, which is surely heading towards his exit.
The Eagles want a replacement though and Henderson could be the man.
A move to Selhurst Park would see Henderson competing with Sam Johnstone – another stopper who came through the United ranks.
Preston-born Johnstone spent his formative years at United before moving on to West Bromwich Albion and now Palace.
Roy Hodgson and co would surely see Henderson as first-choice stopper if they do sign him, potentially leaving Johnstone on the bench in a real twist of fate.
