Manchester United’s transfer woes are a known concern among the fanbase, but a rejected bid during the summer shows just how bad they are.
Sales and arrivals both are a struggle for Manchester United who never seem to land on the right side of a deal.
This evident in the over-paying they were pressure into by Atalanta for Rasmus Hojlund who shouldn’t have cost £64 million.
Harry Kane had started the window as priority number one but he soon proved out of range for the slender Old Trafford sides budget budget.
Therefore United made the move for Hojlund who we think is a brilliant signing, but for that price?
The fact United offered a fee lower when they approached Brighton over Evan Ferguson is appalling.

United had Ferguson bid rejected
Evan Ferguson is so clearly the Premier League‘s next dominating force behind Erling Haaland. Already he is deep among the goals and looks the part in a brilliant Seagulls side.
But to discover he could’ve been a Red Devil is painful, as Rob Dawson reported for ESPN.
He said that “A bid of £50m for 18-year-old Evan Ferguson was laughed off by Brighton.”
This has many asking why we didn’t raise that offer to secure potentially one of the worlds best, as he seems a safer bet than Hojlund currently does.
Manchester United striker woes
Hojlund we are confident will make a brilliant striker following development and integration. But Ferguson is a player who looks guaranteed to be a success.
Manchester United however will be in the market for a striker once again next summer. Anthony Martial will be heading away from the club as he continues to be poor.
While neither Hojlund or Ferguson will settle for a backup role, imagine a front two of both together.
Ferguson could be a possibility in the future, but right now it is embarrassing for the club that a bid was laughed away.
