Tom Heaton has reportedly made a decision about his Manchester United future with the goalkeeper being linked with a move away from Old Trafford.
According to Samuel Luckhurst of the Manchester Evening News, Heaton has agreed to stay at Old Trafford this season following talks with United boss Erik ten Hag.
Goalkeeper Heaton, 37, sought clarification on his future during United’s pre-season tour of the United States amid interest from Luton Town and Hull City according to Luckhurst.
The former Burnley goalkeeper has been impressive during pre-season and seems a more than capable stand-in for Andre Onana, who United signed this summer from Inter Milan.

‘Good conversations’ held with Erik ten Hag
Heaton reportedly has had constructive conversations with Erik ten Hag and the goalkeeper is said to feel encouraged about the season ahead following his increased game time in the United setup.
The 39-year-old was captain against Athletic Bilbao in United’s last pre-season friendly before the Premier League kicks off for the Red Devils next Monday.
Heaton is a more than capable understudy who will probably replace Dean Henderson, who seems likely to move to Nottingham Forest this summer.

Suzuki deal off
Another reason for Heaton’s decision is seemingly Zion Suzuki’s decision to reject United.
Suzuki has joined Sint-Truidense V.V, the Belgian Pro League club confirmed via their website.
The MEN reported that United believed that Suzuki needed two years before he would be ready to be a Premier League goalkeeper.
Meanwhile, according to the same report, Matej Kovar is preparing for another loan move this summer with United intending to loan out the Czech goalkeeper, who also looked impressive during pre-season. United’s goalkeeping revamp is set to take another big step this summer.
