Manchester United are interested in signing Feyenoord midfielder Quinten Timber, after Erik ten Hag coached his brother.
United fans are still reeling from another defeat after Galatasaray rolled into Old Trafford and secured a 3-2 win on Tuesday night.
Erik ten Hag is under increasing pressure with United making a frankly torrid start to the new season.
Some summer signings haven’t quite had the desired impact yet and more spending may come in 2024…
Manchester United keen on Quinten Timber
90Min now report that Feyenoord midfielder Quinten Timber is attracting major interest ahead of the January transfer window.
It’s suggested that United are one of the clubs who have been impressed with Timber having scouted him this season.
United aren’t alone in chasing Timber though with Premier League rivals Liverpool, Manchester City, Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are also keen.
Add in scouting missions from Atletico Madrid, Borussia Dortmund, Monaco and Napoli and it’s clear that Timber is turning heads.
United may well see Timber as a player who can add real energy in the middle of the park having already bagged three assists in seven games this season.

Timber could follow in his brother’s footsteps
Timber is the twin brother of Arsenal defender Jurrien Timber, a name United fans will remember well.
United were heavily linked with Jurrien after landing Ten Hag as manager in 2022, before the defender ended up joining Arsenal.
United’s interest could now give Quinten the chance to follow in his brother’s footsteps by playing under Ten Hag.
Timber did spend time in the Ajax ranks during Ten Hag’s stewardship but never made a first-team debut before heading to Utrecht in 2021.
Now flourishing in Rotterdam, Timber could finally play under Ten Hag after all with United showing an interest.
