Manchester United goalkeeper Altay Bayindir is attracting interest for a controversial move to Galatasaray in 2024.
United invested big money in one goalkeeper over the summer as Andre Onana arrived from Inter Milan.
Yet having allowed both Dean Henderson and Matej Kovar to leave the club, United also wanted a new backup stopper.
In came Altay Bayindir as United struck a bargain £4.3million deal to sign the Turkey international from Fenerbahce.
We are yet to see Bayindir in action for United and his lack of playing time means interest is already emerging…
Galatasaray linked with Altay Bayindir swoop
Fotomac in Turkey now report that Galatasaray are looking at Bayindir for a potential 2024 move.
It’s stated that Galatasaray are yet to make a decision on the future of goalkeeper Fernando Muslera.
The Uruguayan is out of contract at the end of the season but an extension may not be forthcoming.
If Galatasaray do decide to move on from Muslera, then Bayindir is expected to be a key target.
This would be somewhat controversial given that Bayindir left Galatasaray’s rivals Fenerbahce just months ago.
Still, the report claims that Bayindir is expected to be interested in the move if Galatasaray come knocking.

United will surely block Bayindir exit
Maybe Galatasaray really are gearing up to move for Bayindir, but whether United would actually let him go is another matter.
Bayindir only arrived in September and he ultimately knew what he was signing up for when he joined United.
The 25-year-old was fully aware that Onana would be the clear first-choice and he would predominantly serve as cover for the Cameroonian.
Bayindir is thought to be impressing in training and he should feature in the United first team when Onana heads to the Africa Cup of Nations.
United seemingly think highly of Bayindir and we just can’t see United happily letting him head back to Turkey even at the end of the season.
