Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim is still learning about his squad but that isn’t stopping the rumour mill from churning.
Ruben Amorim watched his Manchester United side in action for the first time on Sunday afternoon.
United took an early lead against Ipswich Town as Marcus Rashford handed Amorim a dream start.
United failed to build from there though and could only claim a 1-1 draw against the Tractor Boys.
Amorim wants more control from United moving forward, believing that his side should have been much more proactive after taking the lead.
Amorim has a testing project ahead of him and will certainly need some major signings in 2025 to help mould the team in his image.

Manchester United target transfer stance
United invested in five first-team signings over the summer and that may limit spending in January.
Potential signings are still being linked with moves to Old Trafford though with Atalanta’s Ederson thought to be a target.
Sky Germany’s Florian Plettenberg reported just last week that United are considering a move for Ederson.
It was suggested that Plettenberg is ‘highly valued’ inside United with a 2025 bid potentially in the pipeline.
TEAMtalk now claim that Ederson is ‘excited’ by the prospect of a move to the Premier League.
The 25-year-old fancies testing himself in England’s top flight and it’s suggested that both United and Manchester City have spoken to Ederson’s representatives to discuss a deal.
Ederson would rather move in the summer and a ‘monster’ bid is allegedly required with Atalanta demanding around £50million for the midfielder.
United midfield changes surely coming amid Ederson interest
Ederson has been linked with United for a while now.
Reports in August suggested that United enquired into signing Ederson as an alternative to Manuel Ugarte.
Those reports claimed that United would have future meetings with Atalanta over a deal for Ederson.
United still appear to be keen and Ederson has been hailed as ‘extraordinary’ by Atalanta CEO Luca Percassi.
This would be another significant investment in midfield after signing Ugarte, but United do need to add more midfield talent.
Casemiro and Christian Eriksen may have started Amorim’s first game but are unlikely to play key roles moving forward.
Adding more athleticism in the engine room around Ugarte and Kobbie Mainoo has to be a priority and Ederson would certainly fit the bill – though he may be one for the summer rather than January.
