Manchester United have emphasised signing young talent ever since Ineos took control of football operations.

With deals conducted to bring Leny Yoro and Patrick Dorgu to Manchester United, it’s clear that Sir Jim Ratcliffe wants to take the team as co-owner of the club in a certain direction.

The shift in focus should benefit United’s academy at first when you consider the additions of Chido Obi and Sekou Kone, but they will hope that eventually rewards the club at senior level.

United’s history is built on trusting young players and Ruben Amorim has shown he is willing to follow in Sir Matt Busby and Sir Alex Ferguon’s footsteps in that regard, after offering Harry Amass his first-team debut in United’s 4-1 defeat to Newcastle on Sunday.

Now, United are considering a swoop for one of the brightest talents in Serie A.

Manchester United on alert for Kenan Yildiz

Juventus teenager Kenan Yildiz has enjoyed a breakthrough year this season for Juventus under the guidance of Thiago Motta, who has since been replaced by Igor Tudor.

Yildiz, 19, joined Juventus in 2022 as a free agent after leaving Bayern Munich and has recorded 13 goal contributions in 44 games this season.

However, the Turkey international faces an uncertain future at Juventus and they’re expecting clubs to show an interest in his signature this summer.

According to Gazzetta dello Sport, as translated by Sport Witness, Juventus had some worries weeks ago about losing Yildiz with the primary reason being Champions League football not being a guarantee at the Italian club.

Now, with Juventus in the top four, they hope to fight off interest and keep the young forward.

The report claims Manchester United, Manchester City and Chelsea are ready to make a big investment in Yildiz but there is no mention of how much the youngster would cost.

Juventus won’t be under are pressure to sell Yildiz, who only recently extended his contract in August 2024 and it runs until June 2029.

Kenan Yildiz shows up for the big occasions

Yildiz may be young and experiencing his breakthrough season, but he doesn’t shy away from the big games.

He proved that in January when he won Serie A Goal of the Month for a strike from distance against Torino in the Derby della Mole.

Yildiz cut in from the right flank to get away from three Torino players before shooting from distance to beat the goalkeeper.

Ruben Amorim needs more quality and depth in the attacking department and it’s not hard to see why Yildiz would be on United’s radar this summer.
