Manchester United are now battling to keep Omari Forson at the club amid interest from a number of other clubs.
United have shown a real willingness to offload young players in recent times.
Nathan Bishop, Matej Kovar, Zidane Iqbal, Bjorn Hardley, Charlie Savage, Noam Emeran, Marc Jurado and Teden Mengi all moved on in the summer whilst Mateo Meija left the club last week.
Alvaro Fernandez and Hannibal Mejbri have left on loan but both deals have options to buy, so they could be gone for the long-term too.
United seem willing to let youngsters move on but one player is now becoming a concern as the club battle to keep him at Old Trafford…
Manchester United battling to keep Omari Forson amid contract concern
The Daily Mail now report that United are trying to convince Omari Forson to stay at Old Trafford.
Forson is out of contract at the end of the season and there has seemingly been no progress on a new contract.
‘Rival clubs’ are believed to be interested in signing Forson with United now fearing that he will move on.
In fact, Forson’s contract situation is noted as part of the reason why Facundo Pellistri’s loan move to Granada has stalled.
United seem ready to let Pellistri go out on loan but there may be a decision to make before the end of the window if Forson won’t sign a new contract.
That could tempt United into selling Forson and Erik ten Hag won’t want to be left short of options on the flanks before the summer.
Forson made his United debut earlier this month, coming off the bench in the FA Cup victory over Wigan Athletic.
The 19-year-old may yet feel that he won’t receive first-team opportunities though and could look to move on – just like Isak Hansen-Aaroen.

Who is United talent Forson?
Forson hails from London and previously spent time in the ranks of West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur.
United raided Tottenham to sign Forson back in 2019, viewing him as a major talent for the future.
Predominantly a right-sided winger, Forson has impressed in Premier League 2, hitting 12 goals and five assists in 30 games for United.
Forson has been around the first-team picture for most of the season but United must sell him on the idea of playing first-team football down the line.
Hailed for his ‘exceptional resilience’ by Nick Cox, Forson clearly has big potential – but whether we see him fulfil it at United remains to be seen.
