Manchester United are close to wrapping up the signing of goalkeeper Andre Onana.

Personal terms have been agreed between Manchester United and Andre Onana, reveals Fabrizio Romano.

The transfer expert says the transfer of the Champions League finalist goalkeeper is ‘really close’ with Manchester United expected to submit a final bid to secure the deal.

He says United want the deal wrapped up by the end of next week.

Romano reports: “Manchester United are now really close to signing André Onana! Positive round of talks, final bid to arrive soon then done deal.

#MUFC Told deal will be SEALED by the end of next week. Personal terms agreed.

“Man United want Onana to travel for USA pre season tour.”

It makes a lot of sense for United to tie this one up swiftly. One new signing, Mason Mount, has already signed and has been pictured in pre-season training.

Goalkeeper is such an important position and United are without a number one after David de Gea’s contract expired.

Onana will change the way United play due to his expertise passing out from the back – but the squad will need some time to adjust, which can be done during pre-season.

United supporters would like this deal to be wrapped up as quickly as possible and it looks like the move is heading in the right direction.
