Manchester United right now are in an incredibly negative place, transfers, injuries and games, nothing is going the right way.

Two atrocious performances to begin the season has left many fans craving a few more reinforcements to the squad.

These performances have resulted in three points from two games but it feels worse than that.

The feeling is coming from the face Manchester United are refusing to improve the squad with two completely affordable signings.

Jean-Clair Todibo and Sofyan Amrabat are both likely to cost around £25million which would make them no-brainers for any ambitious club.

However as there is only a week left, time is running out, with the defender from Nice on-the-table, his manager has expressed his ‘hopes’ that Todibo will stay at Nice.

Nice boss wants Todibo to stay

The Express has reported that Nice boss Francesco Farioli is hopeful of his prized defender remaining at the club.

Farioli said: “These rumours have existed since the start, so we’ve developed antibodies against them – be it the team or myself. There are a few days left – we’ll see.

“There is a chance that he stays, and I would be happy because he’s a quality player and he would be very hard to replace. I hope the rumours stay rumours.”

It sounds like Todibo is for sale if an offer comes in, which would be out of the manager’s hands.

Will United move for Todibo

It seemed at one point, Harry Maguire was on his way out of Old Trafford and would imminently be replaced by Todibo.

However fast forward to now and Maguire is staying put, while it seems Jonny Evans is the clubs answer to a new defender.

It is the harsh reality of the situation Manchester United are in right now.

It hasn’t been helped by suggestion that Ryan Bertrand is being viewed as a potential left-back option.

A win tomorrow is absolutely necessary to avoid complete meltdown and panic.
