One Manchester United player is set to receive a lucrative financial offer to quit the club this summer.
Manchester United centre-back Raphael Varane faces a big decision over his future as his contract at the club runs down.
A decision was made late last year not to trigger an automatic one-year extension to Raphael Varane’s deal at Manchester United.
The club did not want to commit to paying the 30-year-old his current salary at £340,000 per-week, The Mail report, although would be open to a discussion on reduced terms.
Well, that won’t be so easy for United to pull off, with Varane set to receive a very tempting contract offer from the Saudi Pro League.

Raphael Varane update
Raphael Varane is set to receive a substantial contract offer, with Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad keen to land him.
The update comes via Ben Jacobs, who told The United Stand that both Varane and Casemiro are transfer targets for Saudi Pro League clubs.
Varane is receiving the most interest right now, with specific figures for an offer being floated, where the Frenchman would earn 30 million Euros per year, which equates at £25 million.
Jacobs explained: “Of the two, I think there’s more confidence that Varane may be a very realistic possibility, even though he said on record that he either wants to stay at Manchester United, or go back to one of his former clubs and Saudi Arabia doesn’t tick that box.
“But dealmakers have said to me for quite some time, that Varane is one they think that they genuinely can get in the summer.
“Casemiro it remains to be seen, but the interest is real. And we have to now wait, one whether the player would entertain that move, and two whether or not there’ll be interest from outside of Saudi Arabia.
“For Varane, it is a bit more advanced Al-Ittihad are already talking numbers. They’ve approached the player side, they’re preparing a formal offer.
“It will be for 30 million Euros a season over three years. So that one actually has legs to it. It’s developing, it’s moving. Casemiro is a little bit further behind.”
Varane exit looking likely
Centre-back is a position where Manchester United want to prioritise getting younger next season, and releasing Raphael Varane is likely.
Victor Lindelof‘s contract is up, and it is expected that both players could leave, with two younger replacements brought in.
If Varane wanted to agree an extension at a younger salary, United would be open to it, he’s clearly still good enough, winning his place back in the team over the past couple of months.
It just won’t be easy to win him over, with a very lucrative offer now on the table, with Al-Ittihad looking to reunite him with his former France international teammate Karim Benzema, who they want to feel more settled.
Varane may have other offers too, and will be weighing up his options. Even if he were to stay at United for another season, it would just be a temporary fix for both parties.
