Manchester United are reportedly monitoring Borussia Dortmund’s sought-after versatile right-back Julian Ryerson, who is enjoying a prolific campaign for the Bundesliga outfit.

When it comes to the right-back position at United, Diogo Dalot has started every game since Michael Carrick returned to the club as head coach.
Noussair Mazraoui has been limited to substitute appearances, but the Morocco star is more than capable of pushing Dalot out of the role.
United haven’t been linked with any standout right-backs until now, with German publication Bild claiming Borussia Dortmund right-back Julian Ryerson has attracted interest from Premier League duo United and Newcastle.
Ryerson, who has been linked with a summer move to Barcelona, has provided 13 assists in 29 competitive matches for Dortmund this season. Only Bayern Munich’s Michael Olise has more assists (16) in the Bundesliga.
The 28-year-old can play multiple positions, including left-back and centre-back, but his contract at Dortmund expires in 2028.
Dortmund are currently second in the Bundesliga, six points adrift of leaders Bayern Munich after playing 22 matches.
A strong end to the season could lead to Dortmund losing their best option at right-back, but it remains to be seen if United are willing to step up their interest in the Norway international.
