Manchester United’s academy and young stars have been leading the way lately, now the club are keen to add further gems.
Amid a season in which Manchester United are relying on teenagers to shine through – in the form of Kobbie Mainoo and Alejandro Garnacho – it now seems they are looking to add in the wonderkid department.
Mainoo has been a revelation in the middle of the park for Erik ten Hag, as has Garnacho on the right wing.
If reports are to be believed, Garnacho could soon find himself surrounded by fellow Argentine wonderkids.

Manchester United scouting four Argentina wonderkids
According to Tyc Sports via Scouts in Attendance, United have joined Manchester City, Real Madrid and Barcelona in scouting a quartet of Argentine wonderkids.
The players United and co are scouting are, River Plate duo Franco Mastantuono and Ian Subiare, Boca Juniors ace Aaron Anselmino and then Independiente youngster Tomas Parmo who rounds out the four.
Of the four, Anselmino has previously been linked with a move to United in January as a £15m price tag was placed on the defender. Turning 19 in April, Anselmino is older than the others which probably makes him a likelier deal at this stage.
The River Plate pair of Subiare – who is an electric 17-year-old winger – and then the attacking midfielder Mastanuono who is just 16, haven’t been linked before but it’s clear to see why they are with exciting signs already.
Mastantuono has scored in the Copa Argentina this season despite being just 16 which showcases he’s an exciting talent.
The most exciting of all however could be Parmo who turned 16 last month. An attacking midfielder who is seen as one of the biggest things coming in Argentina.
United could finally take advantage of the South American market
United’s new CEO Omar Berrada oversaw significant South American signings at his former club Manchester City.
Therefore these links could be him already having a say in how things are done. With a new structure in place, the hope would be that players like Parmo are identified and those in charge actually go for them, which under the Ed Woodward and Glazer era we couldn’t have dreamt of.
All four of these would be smart investments as they’re low-risk, high-reward deals with the upside far outweighing the risk of a couple of millions.
It is exciting to see United involved in this, hopefully, it leads to something now.
