Manchester United have been linked with a move to sign Club Brugge’s Nicolo Tresoldi this summer.
With Joshua Zirkzee still set to leave this summer and Benjamin Sesko requiring some back-up leading the line, Club Brugge’s German wonderkid Nicolo Tresoldi represents a very exciting option.
United have been linked with signing Tresoldi in Belgium, with interest in the youngster long-standing and likely driven by the scouts in a similar way to Senne Lammens, who was snapped up last summer from Belgium.
Tresoldi is a huge talent, and by signing him, United might be picking up a future world-class striker capable of sharing the load with Sesko.
Which was the WORST Man Utd transfer window of all time?
There have been many bad transfer windows for United – but which was the most costly?

Nicolo Tresoldi has been likened to Robert Lewandowski
It is easy to see why Tresoldi would catch United’s attention, as he had a really impressive campaign for Club Brugge last season. The German scored 23 goals and contributed nine assists across 58 appearances in all competitions.
This added to his Germany U21 record of 12 goals in 24 games just shows that he is a huge talent.
As a number nine, Tresoldi shares a lot of traits with Robert Lewandowski, as Scout Lab claims. Within the 20 most similar players, there are some impressive names.
- Robert Lewandowski
- Joao Pedro
- Benjamin Sesko
- Karl Etta Eyong
- Ferran Torres
- Igor Thiago
Tresoldi is a lethal finisher, with his rate of taking big chances among the best in Europe. While the German also excels with the ball at his feet, linking up, progressing play, and carrying it.
At just 21, Tresoldi has levels yet to go in his development, but at United, rotating with Sesko, he will have the time and platform to grow and perform.
If he can become even half the player Lewandowski was, United could strike gold with him.

It could be one nobody is talking about yet… Omar Berrada says Ineos are preparing for unexpected transfers"
Tresoldi is a striker of footballing royalty
Tresoldi is a German youth international, but he was actually born in Italy with his mother from Argentina, making him a player of footballing royalty able to represent three of the most history-laden nations in international football.
But he looks set to represent Germany, and this summer he would be about to explode with Roma, Tottenham, Borussia Dortmund, Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich all rumoured to be interested alongside United.
Clearly, he is ready to kick on to the next level, and if United miss out, it could be a real disappointment and a miss to rue in the future should he go and shine elsewhere.
Even if Tresoldi isn’t a sure thing, Ineos’ excellence in the transfer window has earned them the right to make this kind of an addition, and for fans to have a level of trust in the analysts and scouts who suggest these under-the-radar signings.
