Manchester United have scouts watching a Ukrainian U19 goalkeeper, Nazar Domchak, this summer during the U19 European Championships. Here is what you need to know about him.

Despite Senne Lammens looking set to be Manchester United’s first-choice goalkeeper for a decade, Ineos are currently looking at young keepers across Europe.

United have already signed Kit Margetson, according to reports, with the Welsh keeper from Swansea highly regarded after being scouted by Tony Coton in the past year.

Now, Ukrainian Nazar Domchak has been named as a player scouts are watching.

Which transfer targets do you NOT want Man Utd to sign?

Let's turn the transfer question on it's head, and give Jason Wilcox some advice…

Manchester United scouts keep track of Nazar Domchak

According to the X account Scouts in Attendance, United had a scout at Serbia U19 vs Ukraine at the U19 European Championships on Thursday in Bangor, Wales.

In this game, the main subject of interest was the 19-year-old goalkeeper Nazar Domchak, who has been Ukraine’s outstanding player during the tournament.

He has made crucial saves in Ukraine’s group games, impressing in front of scouts who will be sure to recommend his signing.

Who is Nazar Domchak?

Domchak is a 19-year-old goalkeeper from Stryi, Lviv Oblast in Ukraine, currently playing his football for Slavia Praha in the Czech Republic, having made his transfer this summer.

Domchak cost Slavia Praha £4.2m this summer as he joined from Ukrainian side Karpaty Lviv, where he came through the youth ranks.

Karpaty Lviv signed him from UFK Lviv as a youngster. He is a Ukrainian U19 international, capped nine times.

He earned his £4.2m move with a special campaign for Lviv, playing 27 games in the Ukrainian Premier Liga, conceding 27 goals and keeping 14 clean sheets.

At £4.2m, it is clear he is a massive talent already and will only get better. A name worth keeping an eye on, as United are.

Domchak could be a perfect use of Ineos multi-club model

Signing Domchak this summer likely isn’t on the cards, considering he has already made one transfer this season. But United will have eyes on a move further in the future.

That being said, it would be hard for Domchak to get the game time he needs at United, and instead, he might be better served by being used as a signing for Ineos’ multi-club model.

This has been pretty non-existent for United, with the loans to Lausanne undeniably a failure last season, but Ineos signing Domchak to Nice to develop would be an interesting decision, which could later benefit the Red Devils.

But this is a while down the tracks and not something we expect anytime soon. Still, an exciting player to keep an eye on.
