Man Utd-linked speedster completes £34m Nottingham Forest transfer, he will now replace Anthony Elanga

Manchester United have landed two new attacking threats in Matheus Cunha and Bryan Mbeumo, but have been linked with many more.

Manchester United’s focus in this transfer window has been on attacking additions as Ruben Amorim seeks more goals.

Matheus Cunha was United’s first signing of the window, before Bryan Mbeumo finally arrived last week.

United now want to snap up Benjamin Sesko from RB Leipzig, with a centre-forward the focus after adding two number 10s.

Mbeumo isn’t a natural fit in that role, as he has spent the majority of his career playing out wide or up front.

Amorim may feel that Mbeumo can offer some width while supporting the striker, and United have been linked with other wide attackers this summer.

United have been linked with a move to sign Switzerland international Dan Ndoye from Bologna for a while now.

Ndoye was linked with United last summer, as his impressive displays at Euro 2024 landed him on the Old Trafford radar.

Ineos know Ndoye very well; he not only emerged with Lausanne-Sport, but then moved on to OGC Nice, meaning he has already played for two Ineos clubs.

The Italian media have been convinced by United’s interest, even claiming last week that Ndoye had spoken to Joshua Zirkzee about a potential move to Old Trafford.

United may well have Ndoye on the radar, especially with his Ineos connection, but he has now moved elsewhere in the Premier League.

Nottingham Forest have confirmed the signing of Ndoye, with Sky Sports reporting that a £34million fee has been paid.

The speedy winger was presented as a new Forest player on Thursday and will now gear up for his first-ever Premier League campaign.

Dan Ndoye to replace Anthony Elanga

Ndoye’s move means that he will now be relied upon as Forest’s new wing wizard following the exit of former United winger Anthony Elanga.

Elanga has been sold to Newcastle United this summer, completing a big-money move to St James’ Park.

The Swede has been a huge threat on the counter-attack for Forest, and Ndoye will now take on that role under Nuno Espirito Santo.

Ndoye will now be in line to face United twice this season, as Forest host the Red Devils on November 1.

United’s final home game of the season sees Forest travel to Old Trafford, with Ndoye set to feature.
