Manchester United are looking to recruit another batch of exciting youngsters this summer with PSG potentially set to be raided.
It is shaping up to be a massive summer for Manchester United, with Ruben Amorim expected to see an overhaul within his squad, which is much needed.
Amorim has already outlined ambitions for the transfer window; however, he has now told Sky Sports that the club could be looking at youngsters from big clubs to strengthen, similar to how Chido Obi arrived.
“It’s not just about big names and spending a lot of money. Sometimes, a young player is at the end of his contract at a big club, and we can use the name Manchester United to bring him in.”
This seems to be a recruitment strategy that United are looking to use this summer, with three of PSG’s brightest talents impressing Christopher Vivell and Jason Wilcox.

Manchester United showing interest in PSG trio
It was reported by L’Equipe on Friday that PSG trio Axel Tape, Mahamadou Sangare and Oumar Camara are all set to depart the French capital this summer.
Now, United in Focus understands, after speaking with Graeme Bailey, that all three of the youngsters have attracted interest from Manchester United.
It is understood that United have shown an interest in signing the trio, along with Chelsea and Newcastle, who also would be keen to bring all three to England.
Individually, the players are also attracting suitors in the Premier League and also in Germany, Italy and Spain, which makes for tough competition for the talented trio.
It is thought that Tape, in particular, impressed United when he played against them during the Ajax Future Cup in August 2024.
Following Amorim’s comments to Sky, it is certainly interesting to see United targeting three soon to be out of contract young players from PSG, who in normal circumstances would cost millions.
What to expect from PSG wonderkid trio impressing Jason Wilcox
While signing all three is unlikely, they are all superb talents who will likely be making a move to a club in Europe’s top five leagues this summer.
But what can we expect from each?
Axel Tape
At 17, Tape has already made his first team debut for PSG when he featured in the Coupe de France last-32 tie away to FC Espaly.
He is a central defender and is thought to possess all the traits needed to shine in the Premier League which makes him an interesting option for United with replacements for Jonny Evans and Victor Lindelof needed.
Mahamadou Sangare
Sangare turned 18 in March and is an exciting striker for PSG’s academy, as he was one of the top forwards in the UEFA Youth League this season, scoring eight in six games.
Sangare is a France U18 international, but is also eligible to represent Mali which could see he and Sekou Kone friendly, something that would aid his settling in Manchester.
Oumar Camara
Camara, like Sangare, is eligible for Mali, which gives him the same benefit of having Kone to lean on should he move to United.
Often handed PSG U19s captains armband, Camara is a talented winger who has tallied up nine goals and three assists in 22 games for the academy this season.
