With the January transfer window flying open, Manchester United have a list of potential signings who might emerge as possibilities this month, one of whom is Jeremy Jacquet.
Manchester United’s list of problem positions has doubled over the past month, with eight senior players currently out of action through various means in the build-up to facing Leeds.

Which Man Utd player will be missed the MOST for the Premier League match against Leeds? 😭🤔
This has led to links around United accelerating a Jeremy Jacquet move, which isn’t a transfer that feels necessary at Old Trafford.
Additionally, with Ayden Heaven emerging as a true star for United, the need to spend big on a 20-year-old French prospect in defence feels nullified.
Now, it has actually emerged that United might not be the best place for Jacquet.

Manchester United might not be the right club for Jeremy Jacquet
While there have been developments, United’s interest in Jacquet is not new.
The links have been around for months, with United watching Jacquet for Rennes on more than one occasion.
But signing the high-potential French U21 player might be a risk, as he might not be ready, needing the right environment to develop.
Now, Duncan Castles has claimed this on The Transfers Podcast, admitting United are keen, but that French sources think the issue for United will be the work he requires.
Do you think Jeremy Jacquet could be a good centre-back signing for United? Who would you want instead?
“One individual in defence that Manchester United are looking at is Jeremy Jacquet, the 20-year-old centre-back at Stade Rennes, who has attracted the attention of the usual selection of top clubs, breaking into the team and providing good initial statistics, which gets him on those shopping lists.
“He’s a technically capable player, good on the ball, 1m90, so good physically as well.
“Guidance I have from France is that he has the profile to be a top player, but will need to be developed by a good coach in the correct environment, and I think that’s the issue for Manchester United.”
Ruben Amorim needs to make Manchester United a good environment
It is an easy criticism to throw at United, that the environment isn’t good or the coaching is bad, but in reality, this isn’t really the case.
Over the past decade, United has become a bit of a graveyard for talent, but Amorim is turning this around, and he needs to continue to do so.
Players like Ayden Heaven, Amad, Mason Mount, Senne Lammens, and Bryan Mbeumo have all been successes under Amorim, which shows things are moving in the right direction.
Even Leny Yoro has developed well, albeit he is in a spell of bad form right now.
This is such a positive sign for United, and it is up to Amorim to continue this.
