Manchester United have made a decision over Anthony Martial’s future at the club, according to reports.
Anthony Martial has been starting for Manchester United in place of 20-year-old forward Rasmus Hojlund as the Danish forward remains goalless in the Premier League.
The French forward seems to be a favourite of Erik ten Hag, however, as the former AS Monaco forward has developed his back-to-goal play and his ability to link up with the other attackers.
Hojlund, at this moment in time, struggles with his link-up play hence why the French forward has been brought back into the team but his future remains up in the air.

Martial’s future
According to a report from The Athletic’s David Ornstein, United do not intend to trigger the extension in the forward’s contract, which expires next summer.
This essentially means that the Frenchman can walk away from Old Trafford for free next summer and foreign clubs could even attempt to sign the forward for a small fee in January.
Martial signed a new five-year deal in 2019, which included a clause enabling United to prolong his stay by 12 months until June 2025.
United have no plan to exercise that option which would not only free up a squad space at Old Trafford but also his wages would be off the books, with his current salary believed to be £250,000 according to Sky Sports.
The correct decision
Martial has become a symptom of the Red Devils’ struggles in the transfer market over the past decade and the Frenchman moving on would be the right thing for all parties.
The Frenchman has had seasons of promise at Old Trafford with his last being in the 2019/2020 season under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer when he scored 17 Premier League goals.
Since then, the Frenchman has been in and out of form as well as out on loan at Spanish side Sevilla, the time is right to end Martial’s time in England.
He will always be adored by the fans but the time is right for the £36 million forward, who won the Golden Boy award back in 2015, to move on.
