Manchester United have been encouraged to make a summer move for current Juventus defender Gleison Bremer.
A new centre-back in the summer looks to be high on the list of priorities for Erik ten Hag and Manchester United, particularly with the injury crisis that has been seen this campaign.
Lisandro Martinez is set for another period on the sidelines for the Red Devils following a freakish injury during United’s 3-0 win over West Ham United at Old Trafford last week.
Harry Maguire and Raphael Varane were the defensive partnership against Unai Emery’s side but a new, younger defender will surely be the target for the Red Devils.

United encouraged to make Bremer deal
According to an interview with Bremer’s former Torino manager Moreno Longo, the defender could well be exactly what the Red Devils are looking for.
“I’m not good at numbers and evaluations of players, if I were a coach of those teams [United and other interested clubs] I would look for that type of defender,” he told TuttoJuve.
“He has an overwhelming physicality, he defends in the open field without fear of having 40/50 metres behind him and he plays dominant football. I would always want that.”
When asked what he saw in the Brazilian defender, Longo explained why the Brazilian was so important for Torino.
“When I arrived at Torino, he was a bit on the fringes. The starter was Lyanco and I put my trust in him, because I saw great qualities in him to become a very important defender. He knew how to seize the opportunity,” Longo explained.
Bremer could be United’s new defender
The Brazilian, as mentioned, has been linked with a move to Old Trafford over the past few weeks but his price tag, reported to be around £60-70 million according to TuttoJuve, could well be an obstacle.
Bremer has made 24 appearances for the Italian giants and scored twice in the Italian league. He has an 88 per cent passing accuracy for the Turin-based side this campaign.
Jarrad Branthwaite has been heavily linked with a move to United but his nine-figure price tag may well put off interested parties. Bremer could well be an exciting alternative.
