Man United ace offered to ‘multiple’ European sides as his future at Old Trafford looks bleak

Donny van de Beek has been offered to multiple European sides, including Genoa, according to reports.

The future of Manchester United midfielder Donny van de Beek has been a consistent question throughout this season with the Dutchman featuring for just 21 minutes this season.

When Erik ten Hag was brought into the club, the former Ajax midfielder was one of the players who looked set to receive more chances in the United first team as a result of the 53-year-old being brought to the club.

However, these chances have never occurred and the future does look bleak for the Dutch midfielder.

Van de Beek’s future

According to a report from Italian outlet Gazzetta Dello Sport, van de Beek has been offered to multiple European sides including Genoa as United aim to get the midfielder off their books.

The Italian outlet claims that the 26-year-old is looking for a team that will play him consistently and give him the confidence to reignite his faltering career.

Van de Beek joined United in the summer of 2020 but was given limited chances under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer before being shipped out on loan to Everton in the 2021/2022 season.

The Red Devils are so keen to get him off the books that they are willing to pay a portion of his wages to move him on.

Alongside Italian side Genoa, a host of Serie A clubs are reportedly keen to take on the Dutch midfielder in an attempt to revitalise his faltering career.

Van de Beek’s United struggles

It has been a tough time for the Dutch midfielder since he moved to Old Trafford in the summer of 2020, he has never really been given a consistent chance in the United first team.

Under Solskjaer, Van de Beek scored on his United debut against Crystal Palace but was hardly given a chance in the first team after that.

It may well have been a different story had Ten Hag been at the club earlier but the midfielder’s confidence looks knocked and it’s hardly surprising considering what he has had to go through in his United career.

The reality for Van de Beek is, however, that the Dutchman has already been replaced at the club with Scott McTominay doing what he did best for Ajax with his goalscoring streak making him a like-for-like replacement for the Dutchman.
