Eric Bailly is a player Manchester United are desperate to see leave the club this window, and finally there is some interest.

The Ivory Coast international has never been in Erik ten Hag’s plans since his arrival at the club.

The Dutchman shipped him to France on-loan last summer without really giving him a chance.

Following that, this summer has seen Bailly told to find a new club and excluded from the summer tour.

On-top of this it was reported yesterday by the Telegraph that United weren’t asking for any fee in order to let Bailly leave the club.

This just further emphasises the fact the boss doesn’t rate Bailly.

Marseille to push for Bailly signing

Now it appears that United could finally get their wish and see Bailly depart the club.

Sky Sports have reported that Marseille are interested in taking Bailly back at their club on a permanent basis.

Bailly spent last season there on-loan and they are now set to ‘push’ for his permanent arrival at the club, with the next few days being key.

This being a sale which will clear some numbers from the wage bill and will be a huge relief for Ten Hag who obviously didn’t want Bailly.

Will United sell anyone else?

United have left it late to be clearing players out, however there are multiple names who need to leave for the good of their careers.

Donny van de Beek looks set to stay however he really has to go with no prospect of game-time it seems.

Meanwhile both Harry Maguire and Scott McTominay have both seen their links dried up.

However a report from Evening Standard yesterday claims that United are braced for further interest in the Scottish international.
