Manchester United reportedly hold an interest in LOSC Lille centre-back Lenny Yoro ahead of making a move next summer.
Erik ten Hag’s Manchester United are seemingly already planning for next summer’s transfer window and have seemingly earmarked the teenager as a purchase for the Red Devils.
The report from 90min claims that United, alongside Chelsea and Liverpool have been impressed with the young defender, but the Blues are seemingly the favourites to sign Lenny Yoro.
The teenager became Lille’s second-youngest debutant, overtaking Eden Hazard, when he made his first appearance towards the end of the 2021/22 campaign.
He has since broken through as a first-team regular and could be set for a move away next summer with Paris Saint-Germain also interested in the teenager, which comes as little surprise.

Yoro interest
United’s interest, according to the report, is not as advanced as Chelsea’s with Mauricio Pochettino’s side hoping to try a similar tactic to how they negotiated the deal to sign RB Leipzig striker Christopher Nkunku last year.
Yoro’s current contract expires in 2025 but the French side, who sit fourth in Ligue 1 at this point in the season, are keen to tie him down to an extension.
Should the Blues pursue a deal for the defender, they would look to keep the Frenchman at his current club for the season before he would join Chelsea.
United’s move for a defender
It seems quite clear that the Red Devils are targeting a centre-back next summer as the concerns over Lisandro Martinez’s injuries continue with Raphael Varane also injury-prone.
Signing the teenager would certainly be a huge risk and it seems likely that the Red Devils would target a more proven talent, maybe from the Premier League.
Jarrad Branthwaite has been linked with United and with Everton, according to Sky News, reportedly facing the prospect of a points deduction and relegation, the Englishman could be the man for the Red Devils.
