Manchester United make contact for Rafael Leao

With United in the market for a left-winger this summer, Leao has quickly become one of the most discussed options at the club.

Leao has already confirmed he will leave Milan this summer, prompting links to accelerate.

Now, reliable Milan-based Italian reporter Pietro Balzano Prota has claimed that United have now taken steps toward signing the Portuguese forward.

United are said to have now made first contact with Leao’s entourage over a potential deal.

However, he adds that no decision will be made now until after Portugal’s World Cup over Leao’s future, so United can only do legwork for a deal at least for the next month.

Leao wants a Premier League move, and he has also suggested that he would like to join United.

This feels like one to watch, with Milan open to selling, and there is sure to be a long list of suitors.

Iliman Ndiaye added to United’s left-wing shortlist

With the claim of an approach for Leao, United have also seen fresh links to Everton’s Ndiaye.

It comes according to the Manchester Evening News, Ndiaye has now been added to United’s shortlist for left wing this summer.

United sees Ndiaye as a versatile forward option this summer, with Morgan Rogers another option for United.

Everton want to keep Ndiaye and are planning a new contract, while United aren’t totally convinced on signing a new left winger, given Patrick Dorgu and Matheus Cunha’s performances there for Michael Carrick.
