Manchester United will be eyeing attacking signings this summer as Ruben Amorim seeks more goals at Old Trafford.
The buzz from racking up seven goals across games against Real Sociedad and Leicester City has already died down.
Manchester United have played just twice since those victories and failed to find the net even once against Nottingham Forest and Manchester City.
Ruben Amorim surely can’t accept that kind of inconsistency in the long run and will be seeking attacking additions who can make a sustained impact.
United are keen on Hugo Ekitike, with the Eintracht Frankfurt striker believed to be a key target in Amorim’s attack.
The focus won’t only be on strikers, though, with United also needing to add real threat and creativity around the centre forward in Amorim’s 3-4-2-1.

Manchester United linked with Bologna’s Dan Ndoye again
United will be looking for players who can play in the two number 10 roles, with speculation already ramping up.
Wolverhampton Wanderers star Matheus Cunha is on United’s radar whilst Sporting’s Francisco Trincao could reunite with Amorim.
Another name in the mix is Dan Ndoye, with the Bologna star once again linked with a move to Old Trafford.
United were keen on Ndoye last summer as the winger caught the eye for Switzerland at Euro 2024.
Reports from Tuttomercatoweb and Gazzetta dello Sport now suggest that United could rival Napoli for Ndoye this summer.
The 24-year-old has hit eight goals in Serie A this season, including a stunning back-heeled scoop finish against Napoli on Monday.
TMW suggest that Bologna want around €30million (£26million) for Ndoye, which may well fit into United’s summer budget.
The only hesitation here is that Ndoye is a natural winger, and Amorim needs players who can play a little narrower.
Ndoye has occasionally played off the striker or as an attacking midfielder in his career, but he is certainly more at home out wide.
Amorim and United may believe that Ndoye can grow into a slightly more central role at Old Trafford, but it’s not an absolutely natural fit.
Ineos have been big fans of Dan Ndoye
Ndoye’s name almost certainly won’t go away from the United rumour mill whilst Ineos are in charge.
The Swiss international came up through the ranks at Lausanne-Sport, one of the clubs owned by Ineos and Sir Jim Ratcliffe.
Ndoye then moved to Nice in 2020 – another Ineos club – but struggled to make an impact in France.
Now thriving in Italy, Ineos could bring Ndoye to United, having been such big fans of him in the past.
Napoli’s interest is a real threat, given that they have yet to replace Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, but United’s Ineos ties may just play a key part in any deal.
