Manchester United’s bank balance is worryingly low this summer, making transfer business difficult.

Despite signing Matheus Cunha on July 1st to start the summer hot, since then things have been concerning for Manchester United.

After spending £62.5m on Cunha over three instalments, finance expert, Kieran Maguire said United had another £100m to spend.

However, despite this, United need to sell to bring in the money needed to complete the handful of transfers Ineos have been planning.

With sales hard to come by for United, other means of fundraising are highly valued, and Ineos are benefitting heavily from sell-on clauses this transfer window.

Manchester United fees received from sell-on clauses

This summer might not have seen the sales United had planned work out, but there has still been money raised through sell-on clauses.

Manchester United have also raised money through other avenues, in the form of one loan termination clause.

Total – £25.6m

This is a substantial amount for a club struggling with finances this summer and is £20.6m more than first-team sales have raised, however this will hopefully change before deadline day.

Which players do Manchester United also have a sell-on clause for?

This figure of sell on clauses could actually grow this summer with several additional clauses in place to possibly be triggered.

United could have several additional sell-on clauses after this summer with multiple young players expected to be sold for cheap.
