Fabrizio Romano has given Manchester United fans their first ‘here we go’ of the winter period as Donny van de Beek is now set to depart.

Donny van de Beek has been a player who is mostly forgotten at Old Trafford and has seemed to be looking for a way out of the club for ages.

The midfielder struggled for game time on arrival and things never quite got better as he didn’t really get a consistent run of games.

He never lived up to his £34m fee, and so the Dutch international desperately needed to find himself a way out of Manchester United and now, it has been reported that he has got just that.

The talented midfielder is now believed to have agreed verbally to head out on loan in January with transfer guru Fabrizio Romano tweeting the news.

Fabrizio Romano ‘here we go’ tweet on Donny van de Beek

Taking to X with the news, Romano tweeted the exclusive to his followers that Van de Beek will finally get his move in January.

“EXCLUSIVE: Donny van de Beek to Eintracht Frankfurt, here we go! Verbal agreement now in place.” He wrote as he shared the news that many fans expected to come ahead of the upcoming window.

Continuing, Romano tweeted further details on the impending deal: “Exclusive details: loan until June — buy option included for €15m potential package, add ons included. It’s NOT mandatory.”

He then concluded by stating the United will also receive a loan fee from Eintracht.

Van de Beek finally set to leave United

Although Van de Beek is a very likeable player, we are delighted to see him go as he needed a move to revive his career.

The Dutch international joined United as a talented young midfielder who also had Real Madrid interested in him.

It never quite worked out for him here, and it’s a shame as if he played like he did for Ajax, United would have had a very special player on their hands.

Hopefully, he manages to impress Frankfurt enough that they trigger the buy-option and he goes on to find success in his career as it’s unlikely he was ever going to do so here.
