Anton Ferdinand explains why £100m target should choose Manchester United

Anton Ferdinand has given his verdict as to why Harry Kane should choose Manchester United, despite interest from Real Madrid.

Kane has a big summer decision ahead of him. His options – remain at Tottenham Hotspur, move up north to Manchester United or completely switch his career trajectory by making a switch to Real Madrid.

The options are scarce due to the fact Kane is looking like he’s going to cost around £100m, meaning not many clubs can be in for him. Real Madrid and Man Utd look the two most likely.

Anton Ferdinand has made a great point as to why Kane should choose the Red Devils over Los Galacticos.

On The Take On, a podcast hosted on Rio Ferdinand’s YouTube channel, Anton Ferdinand sat down with FlexUTD and Danny Murphy and discussed the big topic of Harry Kane’s destination.

When Ferdinand was asked, he had one straight answer – which was Manchester United.

“United,” Ferdinand began. “The reason why I’m saying it is because he’s going to want to go down as the Premier League’s greatest-ever striker and beat the record.

“I think the Premier League is what he wants to be known for. If it was about other stuff – he’d be gone by now.

“Going to Man Utd, he could be the difference. He could put them in the title race and he knows that. Go on, be a legend at a massive club like Manchester United and break Alan Shearer’s record, in his countries league.”

This will certainly be something on Kane’s mind when pondering his next destination. He currently sits on 213, just 47 behind Alan Shearer and the all-time Premier League record.

It would be a real shame if Kane didn’t stay and break it. The 29-year-old is at the peak of his career and looks destined to break the tally.

Considering he notched 30 goals in a more than lacklustre Spurs side last season, think of the utter devastation he could provide at Erik ten Hag‘s attacking United side. We agree with Anton – he should definitely switch to Old Trafford over the Bernabeu this summer.
