Manchester United goalkeeper Matej Kovar could well be on his way out of Old Trafford permanently this summer.
After reported interest from Hull City and Red Star Belgrade, according to The Sun, a third team have reportedly entered the fray for the Czech goalkeeper.
According to Alan Nixon’s Patreon, German side Bayer Leverkusen are ready to make an offer for United’s promising goalkeeper.
Leverkusen are reportedly prepared to offer £5 million plus add-ons for Kovar, whether United would sell the Czech international who has looked promising during pre-season remains to be seen.

Prague return mentioned
As well as this, Kovar would be interested in a return to Prague but with Leverkusen ready to enter the fray, this could change the player’s preference over a move.
With Xabi Alonso at the helm, a move to Germany for the goalkeeper may well be the best option for the 23-year-old academy graduate.
Whether he would get the first-team football that a player of his age needs remains to be seen but there is certainly interest from the German side.

Should United sell the Czech goalkeeper
During the negotiations for Andre Onana, United were lacking in the goalkeeping department. Dean Henderson was injured and negotiating a move away, David De Gea’s contract expired so Tom Heaton was the only senior goalkeeper.
Kovar was trusted by Erik ten Hag to be in the pre-season squad as the Red Devils prepared for the new season.
Kovar, since his inclusion, has been very promising during United’s pre-season games. His confidence in possession and his security in the air, when balls were within his six-yard box, made him an interesting option.
If United were to sell the Czech, you would hope that Erik ten Hag’s side would include a buy-back clause for the goalkeeper due to the high potential the 23-year-old possesses.
