Former Manchester United winger Jesse Lingard is set to have two contract offers on the table in the comings days.

The 30-year-old departed Old Trafford in summer 2022 when his contract expired.

He then made the move to join newly promoted Nottingham Forest, who he barely featured for as their younger star’s outperformed him.

Due to this he was released in July by Forest and has remained a free agent since, with moves to the MLS and Saudi Pro League mentioned as potential destinations.

Lingard has been training with his former side West Ham, a club he enjoyed an incredible half-season with on loan where he scored nine with five assists in 16 games.

He has been training there to build up his match fitness ahead of finding a new club, he is now set to have options.

Lingard has choice to make

A player with such Premier League prestige should surely be attracting attention from sides in the division.

According to Sky Sports, Lingard is set to see not one but potentially two offers arrive in the next few days.

Wolves are the side set on offering a contract to the England international within the coming days.

The second club interested is West Ham who are weighing up making an offer for the talented Englishman.

How was his Manchester United career

There was a period in time where Lingard was among the most influential players at Old Trafford.

He’s made 232 appearances for the club while adding 35 goals and 21 assists for his boyhood club.

This included a decisive goal in the FA Cup final which saw United triumph over Crystal Palace in 2016.

His performances earned himself 32 England caps, in which he scored six goals including World Cup wonder-goals.

He will be a great coup for either of the sides who sign him if they can get the best from him.
