Former Manchester United youngster Ron-Robert Zieler is reportedly being lined up for a move to the Red Devils bitter rivals.
According to German newspaper Bild, one of Manchester United’s former academy prospects could be set too commit the cardinal sin, make the switch to Liverpool.
Ron-Robert Zieler is being lined up by Jurgen Klopp’s side for a back-up goalkeeper role to serve as understudy to Alisson.
Liverpool’s new sporting director Jorg Schmadke is said to be pushing the move for the veteran.

Do you remember Ron-Robert Zieler
Manchester United signed Ron-Robert Zieler back in 2008 from Koln. With Edwin van der Sar in his path, he did not get close to cracking the first team.
United did send him on loan to Northampton, before his contract expired and he joined Hannover in 2010.
Like many former United youth prospects who do not make the grade at Old Trafford, Zieler has gone on to have a productive career.
He cracked the Hannover first team before earning an international call-up for Germany. Manuel Neuer was never going to give up the number one spot, however, and he has just six caps for his country.
Zieler was a back-up at the 2014 World Cup and has a winner’s medal thanks to Germany’s triumph in Brazil.
He then moved to the Premier League with Leicester City but that did not work out and he returned to Germany with Stuttgart in 2017, before rejoining Hannover.
Now a move to Liverpool could lie ahead, and while we understand Zieler may have no loyalty to United after failing to make a first team appearance, the Red Devils still gave him the platform for what has been a successful career.
