Fabrizio Romano has spoken about Manchester United’s potential interest in signing Ansu Fati from Barcelona in the summer.
He told his YouTube channel that United are among a number of clubs who have spoken to his agent about the prospect of signing him.
ESPN report that Fati is now back 100 per cent fit and has to now force his way back into the Barcelona first team.
Romano said that whether or not he does that will have a major impact on whether the ‘spectacular‘ forward makes a move in the summer.

Romano on Manchester United interest in Ansu Fati
“Barcelona have the option to sign Yannick Carrasco from Atletico Madrid for 20 million euros. They are still to decide but this could have an impact on the future of Ansu Fati.
“He has clubs interested in him in the Premier League, more than any other league. Barcelona president Joan Laporta has said they are not interested in selling him right now.
“He added that Ansu Fati’s agent said there are proposals for him, and keep an eye on that and the second part of the season will be crucial for him.
“I can confirm that English clubs have had conversations with the agent of Ansu Fati asking for the potential conditions of the deal. Clubs like Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool were informed on the general situation. They never made a bid or negotiations with Barcelona but they are well informed.”
Now he is back fit, United could of course face Fati next week, when we travel to the Nou Camp to play Barcelona in the Europa League.
That two-legged tie will see United come head to head with another transfer target in the shape of Frenkie de Jong.
Whatever happens with Fati, United cannot allow themselves to be dragged into another transfer saga in the summer.
We are still in a situation where it seems like Barcelona need to sell players to balance the books but we just cannot be hanging on for weeks on end over potential targets.
