Exciting 19-year-old midfielder ‘increasingly likely’ to leave United permanently in January

Manchester United midfielder Isak Hansen-Aaroen is looking increasingly likely to leave the club permanently in January, according to reports.

Isak Hansen-Aaroen was given chances in the Manchester United first team during pre-season and he impressed against Yorkshire rivals Leeds United in particular.

Since then, however, the academy player has been limited to games in the under-21s for United despite the obvious qualities that the Norwegian possesses in midfield.

With Kobbie Mainoo being given plenty of chances in the United first team, you would hope it wouldn’t be too long before the attacking midfielder is given opportunities to impress but it seems time may be running out.

Hansen-Aaroen’s future

According to a report from Norwegian journalist Fredrik Fildveldt, via United.no, the most likely option for the midfielder is a permanent move away from the club.

The club are reportedly working on giving the 19-year-old a new contract at the club but the Norwegian will seek assurances over his game time before putting pen to paper on the deal.

It remains unclear whether United can offer him these assurances hence why a permanent move away from the club could well be in the offing soon.

The bizarre, and worrying aspect, of this is that the report goes on to say that the club rate the Norwegian incredibly highly and he is in their category A academy players, essentially saying he is capable of starting for the Red Devils now if needs be.

There are clubs in Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain, and Italy who are all said to be interested in Hansen-Aarøen.

United on the verge of making familiar mistake

Playing an academy player, if they’re good enough, has been the fabric of United for decades now and at no point should that be allowed to change.

Mainoo and Willy Kambwala both started against David Moyes’ side and the Norwegian midfielder certainly looks good enough for a chance in the first team.

United, however, have a habit of letting players go without giving them a chance to blossom in the first team. James Garner, currently thriving at Everton, is one example.

This would be a catastrophic error if United were to let the Norwegian leave but the Red Devils seem to be making all of the wrong decisions at this moment in time.
