Manchester United are now reportedly looking towards Benjamin Pavard as an option to bring in this summer.

It has been the same old story for Manchester United in the transfer window so far. Linked to this, monitoring that – it gets very tiring.

But now it seems that another name has re-entered the frame, with Bayern Munich’s Benjamin Pavard the latest with a link to Old Trafford.

The right-back is very experienced, playing for arguably the greatest club in Germany and being an integral part of the squad that won France the World Cup in 2018. But is he what’s needed for Manchester United?

Pavard to Manchester United?

According to TeamTalk Manchester United would be looking at spending just £26m to land the Frenchman.

Erik ten Hag is reportedly keen on the 27-year-old World Cup winner and believes he could be a cheap, versatile option due to the fact he can operate at both centre-back and right-back.

This would be handy due to the expected departure of Harry Maguire, and also the fact that it appears ten Hag isn’t entirely convinced about his current right-back options.

The move could easily be forced, with TeamTalk stating that Munich boss Thomas Tuchel doesn’t require his services anymore.

The German powerhouses are seemingly willing to offload him for a fee of around £26m (€30m).

Pavard is also on a humble £85,000 a week at Bayern, a figure that the Red Devils would certainly be willing to match or better to try and tempt him to Old Trafford.
