Eduardo Conceicao compared to top stars
Eduardo Conceicao is following in the footsteps of Endrick and Estevao, two talents who have come through the Palmeiras academy.
ESPN praise his key attributes, noting: “Eduardo’s main characteristics are his one-on-one ability and dribbling, embodying the “DNA” of a club that seeks to encourage improvisation in the development of its athletes.”
UOL Esporte go a step further, comparing the Palmeiras prospect to Real Madrid superstar Vinicius Jr.
They write: “Eduardo draws attention for his ease in dribbling past opponents and is compared to Vini Jr.
“Those who follow the club’s youth academy daily see many similarities between the boy’s game and that of the Real Madrid striker, due to his speed and ease in one-on-one situations.”
Palmeiras under-20 coach, Lucas Andrade praises his off-pitch qualities, telling Goal: “What is most striking is his humility and ability to maintain focus despite so much talent.”
Manchester United would do well to add a player of Eduardo Conceicao’s quality and potential to the squad long-term.
He cannot officially join United until he turns 18, so he would either have to be loaned back or sent out to partner clubs Nice or Lausanne.
