Genoa have ruled out selling Radu Dragusin in the January transfer window with Manchester United one of a number of Premier League clubs chasing the £25 million-rated Romania international.
It appears you can now add another name to Manchester United’s central defensive wishlist. Radu Dragusin joins Goncalo Inacio, Jarrad Branthwaite, Antonio Silva and co in the sights of the Red Devils, with a talented, up-and-coming stopper one of Erik ten Hag’s top priorities heading into the New Year.
Romanian publication Pro Sports reported over the weekend that Man United were in ‘very advanced’ talks to bring Dragusin to Old Trafford.
But, after the 21-year-old’s outspoken agent played down those claims, Genoa’s sporting director Marco Ottolini insisted that – if Dragusin is to leave in 2024 – he will do so in June rather than January.

Manchester United linked with Radu Dragusin
“Can Dragusin, sought by many teams, leave as early as January?,” Ottolini tells Sport Mediaset. “I rule out departures in January.”
Dragusin, once of Juventus, models his game on that of Virgil van Dijk, combining fearsome physical prowess with an eye-catching technical ability.
Florin Manea, Dragusin’s representative, admits that he has spent plenty of time in London recently with Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal and Newcastle all in talks. But Man United, he adds, are yet to call.
‘A top team’
“Manchester United is always Manchester United. It’s a top team,” Manea tells iAMSport.
“(Dragusin) is on several lists. I am not surprised that he would also be on Manchester United’s. I haven’t spoken to anyone from there yet, but there are several teams interested.
“For now, there is nothing concrete. Let’s have a written offer or something. But I am in London, and I will have meetings all week. He will probably move in the summer at the latest. I understand that Genoa also has some problems, they have to give some money to the state.”
