Manchester United midfielder Casemiro has been linked with a move away from Old Trafford despite the transfer window in England being closed.
Casemiro has been roundly criticised for his disappointing performance against Liverpool the weekend as Manchester United were soundly beaten 3-0 by their biggest rivals.
The Brazilian midfielder was at fault for the opening two goals as his attempted pass to Kobbie Mainoo was easily intercepted and the former Real Madrid ace was then shrugged off by Luis Diaz who made it 2-0 barely seconds later.
Casemiro was linked with a move to the Saudi Pro League but no major offers were forthcoming for the midfielder.

Casemiro linked with a move to Galatasaray
The Brazilian has struggled this season and it appears Turkish giants Galatasaray are keen on bringing in the defensive midfielder on a temporary deal.
According to journalist Ali Naci Kucuk on X, Galatasaray are keen on bolstering their midfield options before their transfer deadline next week.
The Turkish giants are claimed to have made contact with Casemiro to sound him out over a season-long loan deal.
With just a loan move being proposed, it is currently unclear if the Red Devils would be willing to allow the 33-year-old to leave the club on a temporary deal – even if it could reduce the wage bill.
United’s midfield options are certainly scarce following the departure of Scott McTominay to Napoli so removing the Brazilian, on a temporary deal would not make a lot of sense with the Red Devils left with Toby Collyer and Manuel Ugarte.
Casemiro’s time at Manchester United is coming to an end
After a superb debut campaign at Old Trafford, Casemiro was hailed as the most important signing of Erik ten Hag’s reign.
His leadership skills, his tackling ability and the passion he brought to the United team and he firmly became a fan favourite following his transfer from Real Madrid.
However, last season was a bad one for Casemiro which culminated with the Brazilian being left out of the FA Cup final squad during last season’s victory over Manchester City.
The Brazilian remained at the club this summer but if his performances continue in the same vein as they did over the weekend, his time at Old Trafford may be coming to an end.
