Manchester United are known to be actively looking to sell players in order to fund new signings, one player who won’t be leaving though is Raphael Varane.
Manchester United centre-back, Raphael Varane is one part of arguably the best defensive duo in the Premier League.
At 30-years-old the 93-capped former French International is still in his prime years and is clearly keen on continuing at Old Trafford.
However he is a name that many United fans are tipping as one of the next in line for a departure, especially as he is the exact profile Saudi Arabian clubs would target.
Now according to reports, United’s sole goalscorer this season, has turned down a move away from playing under Erik ten Hag with the Saudi Pro League the bidder.
To add to the bid, one of Varane’s former team-mates has been trying to tempt him.

Benzema urges Varane to make Saudi move
According to a report by Sport Zone on Twitter, Manchester United’s number 19 has seen himself attract interest from Saudi Arabia.
The report mentions that it is the reigning Pro League champions, Al-Ittihad, who have made the move, with Varane’s representatives already ‘contacted’.

He would fit in their given he has two French compatriots already plying their trade there in N’Golo Kane and Karim Benzema, with both trying to attract the Rolls-Royce defender to move.
However United fans don’t have to worry just yet, with it being stated that the player has “declined the offer” as he wants to continue playing in Europe for “at least one more season.”
United could need long-term replacement
This report is likely a teaser to what we can expect next summer as Varane feels like a move they could go for again.
Therefore it is important that the Carrington bosses are looking at long-term solutions to the potential needed position.
A few names we would love to see brought in are Jean-Clair Todibo, Ousmane Diomande and Antonio Silva.
Any of these three could be the ideal replacement for such a top-quality defender.
