Godts was on the scoresheet for Ajax on Saturday, scoring a wonder goal in a 2-0 win over NEC.
The winger dribbled around several defenders before beating the goalkeeper, showing his technical ability and speed on the ball.
According to Cronica Global, Barcelona chief Deco is looking for Marcus Rashford alternatives, with Godts named among them.
The other alternative options Barcelona are looking at include Jan Virgili and Victor Munoz.
Godts is reportedly valued at £21m (€25m), but that price will likely rise if demand for his signature increases.
The 20-year-old has 16 goals and 13 assists across all competitions this season.
This is potentially bad news for Rashford amid doubts over his future, with Barcelona unlikely to take up the £26m option to sign the England international at the end of the season.
United are irritated by Barcelona as they think the La Liga giants are trying to lowball a deal for Rashford.

Scouts to watch Mika Godts against PSV Eindhoven
The report adds that major European clubs are expected to be scouting Godts in Saturday’s Dutch derby clash between Ajax and PSV Eindhoven.
There has been no confirmation as to whether United scouts will be in attendance, but at least Godts is a player on their radar.
Godts is under contract at Ajax until June 30, 2029.
