Antony hands in official transfer request
Antony‘s representatives are even staying in England to secure the winger his dream move, reports The Telegraph.
The Athletic reported earlier today a deal could be struck at around £79 million.
Antony’s former club Sao Paulo are due to get a cut of the transfer fee.
Fabrizio Romano told his YouTube channel that Antony is ‘obsessive’ about clinching his move to Manchester United.
The winger was signed by Erik ten Hag at Ajax and wants to reunite with him, and former teammate Lisandro Martinez.
He would find two more familiar faces with international teammates Fred and new signing Casemiro.
Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf report he is increasing the pressure on Ajax in an attempt to get the move tied up well in advance of the deadline.
An early deal should suit Ajax, allowing them more time to sign a replacement.
The 22-year-old signed for the Dutch side in 2020 and has been a key part of their success in winning consecutive Eredivisie titles.
