Manchester United winger Amad Diallo is already a wanted man ahead of the summer transfer window with Watford understood to be interested.
The January window has only just closed but there are already rumours emerging about the summer window.
Bayern Munich centre back Matthijs de Ligt is one name being touted for a move to Old Trafford in a potential reunion with Erik ten Hag.
Ineos will surely push for major reinforcements this summer but we are also seeing exit rumours – and one may just raise a few eyebrows.
Watford linked with Amad Diallo move after Middlesbrough snub
The Sun’s Alan Nixon reports that winger Amad Diallo is attracting major interest from Championship clubs.
It’s stated that Birmingham City are ready to move for Diallo in the summer in an attempt to reunite him with boss Tony Mowbray.
Diallo worked under Mowbray at Sunderland last season and the Blues are allegedly ready to launch a loan move.
The really fascinating part of the report adds that Watford want to sign Diallo and are looking into a serious move for the Ivorian.
That move may even see Udinese pay up to sign Diallo permanently and then loan him straight to Watford thanks to the links through the Pozzo family.
It’s even added that Diallo rejected the chance to sign for Middlesbrough in January as he didn’t fancy the move to the Riverside Stadium.
Boro boss Michael Carrick – a former Manchester United midfield star under Sir Alex Ferguson – seemingly wanted a favour with a loan deal for Diallo.
The 21-year-old had other ideas though and snubbed Carrick, instead deciding to stay with United.

United must persist with Diallo
United struck a huge £37million move to sign Diallo in 2021, spotting his talent with Atalanta as an 18-year-old.
Diallo has only managed 36 minutes of first-team action this season though and he has made just 10 appearances for United.
A disappointing spell at Rangers, a superb loan at Sunderland, an injury-hit pre-season… Diallo has been though real ups and downs in recent years.
We still think there is huge talent there though and Diallo should be kept around for a little while longer.
Selling Diallo to Udinese this summer would likely mean taking a major loss on him and that would be a major disappointment for a player with so much ability.
The clock is ticking with Diallo and United do need to see something from him soon, but we would be surprised to see him sold in the summer.
