Manchester United may not have been impressed with Tijjani Reijnders after a difficult evening for AC Milan.
United have regularly been linked with signing Dutch players ever since Erik ten Hag’s arrival in 2022.
Some ended up completing moves to Old Trafford with Tyrell Malacia and Wout Weghorst joining United under Ten Hag.
Others have gone elsewhere with Jurrien Timber heading to Arsenal and Ryan Gravenberch joining Liverpool.
United appear to want another Dutch player now – but he didn’t exactly shine on Wednesday night.
Manchester United linked with Tijjani Reijnders move
Calciomercato in Italy report that United are interested in landing AC Milan midfielder Tijjani Reijnders.
Reijnders only joined Milan over the summer, completing a £17million move from AZ Alkmaar.
The 25-year-old has already become a fixture of the Milan side and has also broken into the Netherlands national team.
Reijnders has been so impressive in the Milan midfield that United and PSG are now thought to be interested in signing him in 2024.
We can’t imagine that being a January move, especially as United have priorities elsewhere, but Reijnders may be a name to keep an eye on moving forward.

Reijnders struggles against PSG
Just days after that rumour emerged, Reijnders had the chance to shine against PSG as Milan faced the Ligue 1 side in the Champions League.
PSG ran out 3-0 winners and the Italian media seemingly weren’t impressed with Reijnders as Milan slumped to a heavy loss.
Tuttomercatoweb rated Reijnders at just 4.5 out of 10, the lowest of any Milan player against PSG.
They suggested that Reijnders suffered his ‘worst performance’ since joining Milan, highlighting his errors for two PSG goals.
Reijnders will be looking to bounce back quickly and we would advise that United don’t back away from him just off one poor performance.
Reijnders looks like a player who can make an impact in United’s midfield and scouting him in further Champions League games would be a fine idea ahead of 2024.
