The 1958 will hold a protest against the Glazer running of Manchester United to coincide with the club’s planned kit release.

Manchester United fans enter the final week of June no closer to the club’s takeover being completed.

The Glazers are keeping their options open, letting the process drag on, with no confirmation of whether Sir Jim Ratcliffe or Sheikh Jassim will be successful with their bids.

The ongoing holding pattern is not helping Manchester United move forward, on or off the pitch.

The 1958 plan new protest this week

The 1958 group have announced plans for a new protest on Tuesday (27/6).

The protest is planned in the vicinity of the Old Trafford Megastore on Tuesday morning, the day the club’s kit release is scheduled, the club confirm.

The 1958 wrote on Twitter: “DON’T FEED GLAZER GREED! The 1958 will have a presence at the megastore on Tuesday.

“A legal protest from 9:45am. Be there! Bring your anti Glazer flags and banners! Be loud, be visual. We don’t stop until they sell our club!”

While not expected to be as large-scale protest as some of the recent ones on matchdays, which have involved thousands of supporters, this one will still aim to leave an impression and show the unhappiness among the fanbase.

This is not a protest about the lack of transfers at Manchester United, it is about the shambolic way the Glazer family have run the club, and the undignified way the takeover protest has been run.

Club legend Gary Neville blasted last week, via BBC Radio 5 Live: “I think it’s embarrassing. But it’s what they have done, drag everything out. It’s always in their best interests and not in the best interests of the football club.”

The message from the 1958 is clear; ‘don’t feed the greed’, aiming to put a small dent in the early sales of the club’s kit release.
