The latest deadline in the Manchester United takeover saga is fast approaching.
Earlier this month BBC Sport reported a third round of bids will be invited with a deadline of April 28 (this Friday).
ESPN had reported last week the Glazers may look to stay, only selling a minority stake. The club’s share price subsequently tanked to it’s lowest value in months.
Fortunately there is better news on the horizon. A full sale is said to still be the most probable outcome of the process.

Manchester United takeover update
There is a positive prognosis reported on the upcoming deadline, from a Manchester United fan perspective.
CBS Sports journalist Ben Jacobs reports via Twitter: “Although the Glazers have clearly kept options open, still understand a full sale is more likely than a minority investor at this stage.
“Those close to the outright bidders believe it will be full sale or no sale (with club put on the market again at a later date if the latter).”
While the ‘no sale’ outcome would be incredibly frustrating, it feels unlikely considering the seemingly limitless wealth of bidder Sheikh Jassim.
The Guardian reported last week the Qatari bidder is ‘confident’ of a deal for the Red Devils.
Bids are expected from Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe, in what is expected to be the final round of bidding.
Fan group The 1958 are planning a major march and protest for the home fixture with Aston Villa this coming weekend, the first home league game since the third round of bidding was announced.
