Manchester United’s Premier League fixtures for the 2026/27 season were released on Friday morning.
Every summer, this is regarded as an exciting day in the calendar for Manchester United fans, who will now be making plans to attend those matches, home and away.
United finished third in the Premier League last term, which was a sufficient placing to secure Champions League qualification. Michael Carrick will want to take another step forward in the coming campaign by challenging for the Premier League title.
Following the Premier League’s big reveal at 10 am on Friday, let’s take a look at the winners and losers from United’s first six league fixtures ahead of the 2026/27 season.

Man Utd’s Premier League fixtures for 2026/27 have now been CONFIRMED – What do you think?
Winners
United have a chance to get nine points on the board before taking on Man City at home in the Manchester derby. That includes a trip to Hull City on the opening weekend of the season, followed by Ipswich Town at home and Everton away.
The first six games also include a trip to Fulham before United host Tottenham at Old Trafford.
Without further ado, here are the winners from United’s first six league fixtures of the 2026/27 season.
Michael Carrick: Eager to get his first full season underway, Michael Carrick cannot complain that United’s first two fixtures are against the newly promoted duo Hull City and Ipswich Town.
This gives United a chance to get off to a winning start in the Premier League.
Paddy McNair: Hull City centre-back Paddy McNair could make his first competitive appearance at Old Trafford since 2022 this season, but that will have to wait as United will travel to their first opening match in nine seasons.
It’s the start McNair would have wanted when Hull City returned to the Premier League. The former United academy graduate will have fond memories of getting his chance in the first team under Louis van Gaal, but it’s great to see him back in the big time as a senior footballer.
Harry Maguire: After signing his United renewal, Harry Maguire is hoping to make it a season to remember at Old Trafford, and it all kicks off against his former club Hull City.
That gives Maguire a chance to return to familiar surroundings. The experienced defender will be pleased to see the Tigers back in the top flight.
Who is YOUR ‘one to watch’ pick for Man Utd next season?👀
Kobbie Mainoo and Leny Yoro both say Patrick Dorgu, but who is yours?
Losers
There must be losers if we have winners, right?
David Moyes: Former United manager David Moyes is always aiming for a strong start to the season, and it will be no different at Everton this season.
United travel to the Hill Dickinson Stadium at the beginning of September, which could upset any momentum Moyes’ side can build in their opening two fixtures of the campaign.
Carrick, who played under Moyes at United, will be eager to get one over his former boss.
Roberto De Zerbi: After keeping Tottenham in the Premier League, the last thing Roberto De Zerbi wants is a slow start.
Tottenham will take on Brentford, Newcastle, Aston Villa and United in their first six fixtures of the campaign.
That means Carrick can help put pressure on De Zerbi in the early stages of the season, unless Tottenham go on a winning run.
